Ghastly ghouls and beasties lurk around every corner this once again Lightwater Valley becomes Frightwater Valley!

 How much can your ticker take??...choose from and experience a whole host of Mini, Mega and Ultimate scares! There'll be our Monster Knock Door, Frightwater Express scare train, Icon Avenue and our ever-popular scare maze, but remember... the darker the night, the scarier the fright!

 And of course your ticket includes all your favourite Theme Park rides.


  • Monster Knock Door - Knock very loudly! Will it be a trick or a treat?
  • Icon Avenue - See your favourite spooky movie characters come to life throughout the day.
  • Eagles’ Creep Farm - Take a teeth chattering Halloween trip around Eagles’ Creep Farmyard.
  • Halloween Character Meet & Greet - Your chance to grab a photo with our ghoulish ghosts and bothersome beasties.
  • Frightwater Express Scare Train - Board only if you dare! Hold onto your seat tightly as the Frightwater Express Scare Train departs and who knows what ghastly ghouls you'll meet.
  • If you go down to the woods today.....Live Scare Maze - Our terrifying live scare maze is definitely not for the faint- hearted! "If you go down to the woods today, you're sure of a big surprise....if you go down to the woods today you'd better go in disguise"
  • Theme Park Rides - All rides are open until 6pm, except The Ultimate and Skate Karts which will close at dusk.
  • Frightwater Finale - Don’t miss our blood-curdling lakeside firework finale at 6.15pm every day.

Fabulous Fireworks

04 November 2017 (included in the general admission tickets)

Join us for a fabulous firework spectacular, choreographed to music and set over our picturesque Swan Lake. The theme park rides are all open as usual from 10am and once darkness falls our 15 minute "Best of British" firework show will provide heaps of extra excitement at no extra cost.

Gates open at 9:45am each morning, with fairground rides operating from 10:00am and all major rides and attractions from 10:30am.

Our closing time depends on how busy we are and varies between 4:30pm and 6:00pm.

Car parking is completely free of charge with coach and disabled parking located at the very front of the car park, just 300 yards from the theme park entrance.

Visitor Services is located in the fairground and our customer service team is dedicated to making sure your day is as enjoyable as possible, assisting you with everything from directions to first aid and locating lost children!

We are a no smoking theme park with designated smoking areas. Please see the park map for smoking zones.

Bags and loose items are not permitted on any of our rides. Any articles left unattended at rides are left at the owner's risk, but for your convenience lockers are available in the main entrance of the theme park (charge applies).

In the interests of safety only service dogs are allowed into Lightwater Valley.

Onsite Dining


Avast! If ye be lookin’ for a fine fun spot to take ye young scallywags for a bite to eat then ye be wantin’ to stop by for some grub at the Hungry Harbour. There be a booty of tasty treats for ye all to try so tuck into sandwiches, soups, wraps, jacket potatoes, hotdogs, chips and pizzas ye greedy gannets! If ye landlubbers have room to spare then ye be wantin’ to finish off with sweet tastin’ cakes and smoothies and ye best not be forgettin’ the non-alcoholic grog neither.


Instead of lugging a picnic around the park or having to go back to the car whenever someone’s hungry, you can nibble on the run at one of our many snack stops. In the fairground you’ll find classic treats including candyfloss, yummy doughnuts, ice creams and Slush Puppies at the Sweet Treats stand.

If you dare brave the Black Widow’s Web then steady your nerves after a ride on the mean machine by stopping at the Nestle Snack Bar where you can indulge in Kelly’s Cornish ice cream in a range of delicious flavours as well as cold drinks.

The Munch Box outlet in the fairground also sells a range of nostalgic fairground snacks including hotdogs, burgers and fries and the great British sandwich (the bacon butty) is served until midday.

Cuppa Joe’s Coffee Shop (located in the park entrance building) is a great place for a pick-me-up at the start of the day and serves all day breakfasts along with burgers, chips, toasties, sandwiches, cakes and hot and cold drinks.


Now you certainly wouldn’t be able to pack tasty hot pancakes into your picnic basket so if you fancy a hot snack then head over to Eagle Bites in the fairground where you and your family can tuck into our scrummy range of Enjays Pancakes. Also on offer are spicy nachos, huge hotdogs and Mister Softee ice cream. If you fancy these treats after stepping off the Ultimate (if you can handle them!) then Ultimate Snacks offers these snacks and more, including waffles.


You can enjoy eating outside without the bother of packing a picnic and tidying up after yourself as many of our eateries provide fantastic outside eating areas. The Pub in the Wood near Trauma Tower is a cosy cabin tucked in our very own shady wood and grownups can enjoy a range of alcoholic drinks; there’s also soft and hot drinks, bar snacks and paninis for everyone.

The Conservatory (near Skate Karts) offers a range of theme park treats which the whole family will love including burgers, chicken nuggets, chips and drinks and you can relax in the sun and eat your meal outside.


Head over to The Granary in our Country Shopping Village and enjoy the cosy and rustic surroundings of this popular spot. Bacon and sausage sandwiches are served until midday and you can enjoy fish and chips, a Sunday carvery, afternoon tea and many more superb snacks. There’s hot and cold drinks on offer and if you fancy something a little stronger then we’ll pour you a Black Sheep bitter or Carling lager.

Carer Tickets Policy

  • 1x FREE carer ticket is provided per paid ticket when accompanying guests with disabilities.
  • Bookings that require part Carer Tickets cannot be booked via Attraction World and need to be pre-booked directly with Lightwater Valley or via their website.
  • A guest with disabilities can enter the theme park for £18.00 per person, which includes one free accompanying carer. Additional carer tickets can then be purchased at £18.00 per person, these tickets must be purchased online in advance. Our "pay on the day" disabled rate is £24.00 including one free carer with additional carer tickets available at £24.00 each.
  • In order to qualify for the concessionary rates and free entry, guests would need to produce either a blue badge or DLA/PIP letter when picking up their tickets at the admissions desk.
  • Please Note: Those entitled to concessionary rates are not automatically entitled to front of queue passes. Only those for whom queueing would cause unnecessary discomfort or distress will be entitled to the passes when producing one of two documents; a Blue Badge or a letter from GP or Consultant to the Lightwater Valley team in Visitor Services.
  • A hearing loop system is operated at the individual pay kiosks and at Visitor Services at the park.



  • The Disabled car park is situated directly adjacent to the park entrance.
  • Parking is clearly marked and available to blue badge holders only. (Please contact Reception or Visitor Services if this would cause a problem.)
  • There are spaces for mini – buses.

Visitor Services

  • Located and accessed from the Fairground, we should be your first point of call during your visit.
  • We will be able to offer advice on ride and attraction access and requirements, issue preferential ride access wristbands where queuing would cause unnecessary discomfort or distress, and further advice on facilities for disabled guests.
  • A4 page magnifiers and easy grip pens are available.
  • If you encounter any problems during your visit please inform us.

  • The Bungalow situated immediately in front of the Disabled car park.
  • In the Market building towards the Theatre entrance.
  • At the Fort area near to the Fort train station.

Mega adventures are suitable for our junior thrill seekers. Here are just a few of our mega rides and attractions...Explore the swashbuckling world of Skeleton Cove for lots of traditional pirate themed entertainment. Climb aboard The Flying Cutlass for some tummy tickling fun as she drops anchor after a treacherous coastal voyage from Scotland, before spinning around on the Pirate Swinger and boarding speedy Skull Rock. Lightwater Valley can be a little wet 'n' wild when you climb into your dinghy and take a splashtastic turn on our Wild River Rapids, or you dare to enter one of the three giant water chutes that are the Falls of Terror. For budding thrill seekers who enjoy feeling the wind in their hair The Ladybird rollercoaster with its dips, twists and turns is the perfect place to begin, and for those who like a bird’s eye view the Lightwater Wheel offers you amazing panoramic views of the whole park.


Mini Adventures are for our youngest guests who are under one metre in height. Here are just a few of our mini adventures rides and attractions ….Run wild on the UK’s largest Angry Birds Activity Park! Incorporating all the Angry Birds characters you know and love, the indoor and outdoor Activity Park offers interactive play complete with tube slides, pig tunnels, slingshots and Angry Birds nesting towers from which to survey the enemy - the Piggies! Jump aboard one of our Eagle’s Creek Farm tractors and take a fun and entertaining journey around our farm, before heading to the Lightwater Falconry Centre where you can see over 35 amazing raptors including Owls and Hawks and watch a spectacular flying show! Pour yourself into one of our giant teacups and let it gently spin you around before climbing aboard our junior pirate ship. Take to the water on one of our Swan Pedal Boats followed by a trip on the Lightwater Express Train which takes you around the perimeter of the valley, taking in all the sights and sounds of the park!

Please Note:

  • All children over 1 metre in height need a ticket.
  • All children under 1 metre in height but 2 years of age and above need to purchase a ticket.
  • Any children/ babies under 2 years of age are admitted free of charge and do not need a ticket.
  • Customers with children over 1 metre must purchase an adult ticket. Failure to do so will result in being charged full adult gate rate on arrival.
  • Seniors aged over 60 years receive entry for £5 when accompanied by another guest purchasing an Over 1m and/or Under 1m ticket. Senior tickets must be purchased on the gate.
  • We recommend that children under the age of 16 years should be accompanied by an adult however this is left to the parent's discretion. Adults are encouraged to leave a contact number at the Visitor Services Office in case of emergency.
  • IMPORTANT: Customers must PRINT and present the voucher upon arrival at the Admissions Desk in exchange for your tickets. Failure to bring your PRINTED version of the voucher may result in access to the park being refused and a new set of tickets to be purchased locally at full walk up rate. Please note, the attraction is unable to accept admissions if presenting this voucher on a smartphone or tablet or by quoting the reference number.
