Auschwitz + Birkenau & Wieliczka Salt Mine in One Day
This is the ultimate combination tour for those who want to experience some of the most significant history in Poland. You will visit one of the largest and most infamous Nazi concentration camps Auschwitz and Birkenau, as well as visiting the historic Wieliczka Salt Mine.
The day will begin with a tour of the Auschwitz and Birkenau Camps. The UNESCO World Heritage Site is the memorial dedicated to all those who suffered and died at the camps. The tour will give you a shocking insight on the living conditions and atrocities that took place there.
A short while after your tour of Auschwitz and Birkenau you will be taken to explore the Wieliczka Salt Mine. You will descend 135 metres below ground level (approx. 380 steps down) to Level 1 of the Salt Mine. Here you will be able to see the skilfully crafted salt chambers, salt churches and sculptures before you make your ascent to the surface in the lift.
You will also receive a FREE Schindler’s List Walking Tour, where you can discover the hidden streets of the Jewish Quarter. (This will only be available for bookings that travel until 31st March 2020).
- This combination tour is not wheelchair accessible.
- For guests who do not wish to descend in to the Salt Mine via the 380 steps, there is a lift available upon request which costs 250PLN (approx. £50) per elevator. This will be payable locally.
- This tour is not suitable for children under 14. If you have any children under 14 that wish to participate please contact us. (We will need to contact our partners in resort to await their decision on whether these be granted special access and at Children's prices).
- The Schindler's List Walking Tour is only available Tuesday-Sunday and will be taken the day after your Auschwitz and Birkenau + Wieliczka Salt Mine Tour. The Schindler's List Factory entry is not included in this and therefore payable separately if you wish to visit this Museum at the end of the Tour. The admission price is around 21 Polish Zloty per person.
