Blue Mountains and Wildlife
While in Sydney, don't miss the opportunity to visit the enchanting Blue Mountains for this full-day outdoor adventure.
Discover the spectacular Blue Mountains and see native wildlife whilst you explore World Heritage- listed Blue Mountains National Park.
This rugged and beautiful region forms part of the Great Dividing Range, linking tropical north to the temperate south, while dividing coastal cities from the vast outback. First of all, there is a morning tea stop at Euroka Clearing at the base of the Blue Mountains and within the amazing World Heritage Zone.
Arrive at Scenic World and join the optional Blue Mountains rides – Scenic Railway, Cable Car or Skyway (not included in price and subject to availability - payable locally). These rides are a great way to see the steep valleys, canyons and Three Sisters rock formation. Stopping at a vantage point, you’ll be treated to a spectacular view of the three sisters.
Continue your journey and discover Leura village, where you will have free time for lunch or the chance to wonder the streets. After Leura village it is off to Featherdale Park for afternoon encounters. Have your photo taken with a cuddly Koala (own expense), see Kangaroos, Wombats, Dingoes and cute little Penguins.
Travel through the suburb of Homebush Bay, the venue of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. Here, you have the opportunity to catch your river cruise vessel back to Sydney and enjoy a relaxing cruise along the Parramatta River (not included in the price and subject to availability). The price of this is approx. AUD $12 for adults and AUD $6 for children (2-15). Tickets can be purchased from the driver on the day or, as recommended, booked in advance to avoid disappointment.
If you prefer not to take the ferry, you can remain on the coach back to Sydney, with hotel drop-offs commencing at approx. 5.45pm.
Please note: This tour no longer has a stop at the Aboriginal Waradah Centre.
