Hop into one of London's infamous black cabs and take a journey through the capital's history. From the comfort of your taxi, witness the historical and cultural events that have shaped London into one of the greatest cities in the world.

Relive Tudor England before experiencing the time when London's streets where haunted by the plague, and the moment the Great Fire engulfed the city in flames. Emerging from the ashes, Sir Christopher Wren's masterpiece, St Paul's Cathedral, takes shape.

Encounter a monumental recreation of the famous Nelson's Column, ahead of arriving in a city at war where the familiar voice of Prime Minister Winston Churchill calls out, rallying the nation. Roll on the bright lights of the 1960s, where a jubilant London is thrown into a World Cup winning frenzy, before stepping out of your black cab in the 1980s.

RESTRICTIONS: Anyone under the height of 1.2m must be accompanied by an adult. Maximum per taxi of; 2 adults, 2 children over 1.2m, 1 adult & 2 children under 1.2m, 2 adults & 1 child under 1.2m.   • The figure making process is the same as it was when Madame Tussauds herself began making wax figures well over 200 years ago.
  • As part of that process, real, ethically sourced hair is inserted into wax figures one by one by Madame Tussauds hair stylists in a painstaking process taking up to four weeks.
  • Each figure made by Madame Tussauds costs £150,000.

Filled with 14 exciting, interactive zones and the amazing Marvel Super Heroes 4D movie experience, Madame Tussauds London combines glitz and glamour with incredible history.

Kong: Skull Island Experience!

In partnership with Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. Pictures, Madame Tussauds London and Madame Tussauds New York will bring the experience to life with an eight-foot, multi-sensory animatronic head of the gigantic ape that will wow and terrify visitors in equal measure. Guests can expect to embark on an adventure deep into the tropical environment of the infamous Skull Island, where they will be challenged to evade the traps of colossal petrifying spiders and uncover artifacts from the film. As they journey through the secluded bamboo jungle, they will be joined by a new wax figure of Captain James Conrad, played by British actor Tom Hiddleston in the upcoming film, before coming face to face with the enormous breathing, blinking, snarling and roaring mystical monster himself.

Star Wars™ exhibition

Created in close collaboration with Disney and Lucasfilm, Star Wars™ at Madame Tussauds is a unique, immersive experience starring extraordinarily life-like wax figures of the favourite heroes and villains of Star Wars Episodes I-VI. The figures appear in authentic walk-in sets inspired by key scenes from the movies. Dynamic special effects add to the immersion, as you step right into, and star in, some of the most iconic moments in film history!

  • For safety reasons we can only accept three wheelchair users in the building at any one time and it is strongly advised that you pre-book in advance.
  • The ‘Spirit of London’ Taxi Ride is a continuously moving ride requiring some physical endeavour to board and disembark, and is therefore unfortunately not accessible due to health and safety considerations
  • Exclusions: Access to Alien: Escape and The Sherlock Holmes Experience is not included in your Madame Tussauds Ticket Price.
